As Senior Chief Commercial Officer in a high‑growth startup, you are both a strategic leader and an experienced hands‑on expert. You will shape and execute the commercial strategy while directly engaging with potential customers, building relationships, and driving sales. Key Responsibilities
- Source and engage new clients: Personally identify, approach, and close high‑value customer opportunities in the life sciences, biotech, or health‑tech software sector.
- Design and execute commercial strategies for rapid growth, balancing strategic planning with direct outreach and active sales effort.
- Develop and leverage an extensive industry network to open doors, drive partnerships, and accelerate market adoption.
- Act as the face of the company in critical commercial meetings, industry events, and client interactions.
- Collaborate closely with product and technical teams to translate market needs into product features, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and company offerings.
- Report directly to the CEO/Board, providing clear insight on pipeline, customer needs, and commercial roadblocks.
- Establish processes and best practices for commercial activities that scale with company growth.
Candidate Profile
- Senior‑level professional with proven track record of selling solutions in biotech, pharma, or life sciences. Ideally within Software startup or entrepreneurial settings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to convince and build trust with C‑level and technical customers.
- Highly networked within the relevant industry credibility among decision‑makers.
- Hands‑on attitude: ready to pick up the phone, meet clients, travel as needed, and lead by example.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, resource‑constrained environment typical of startups.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and proactive in searching for business opportunities.
