Description:
We are seeking a highly personable and well-presented professional who represents a unique cross between Client relationship success and sales engineering. This individual will support high-level business development efforts led by the CEO and senior executives, primarily focused on selling to hyperscale data center clients.
Requirements:The ideal candidate will:
- Understand hyperscaler expectations from a sales engineering perspective while driving business development processes and opportunities.
- Have existing relationships with hyperscalers and the ability to manage these relationships through the entire life of the contract.
- Act as the primary public-facing representative when the CEO and senior business development leaders are unavailable.
- Collaborate with technical operations and design teams to gather details and ensure customer needs are met, while, driving the sales process forward.
- Maintain a strong focus on business development while possessing sufficient technical knowledge to effectively communicate the value of the offering.
- Combine interpersonal relationship skills with knowledge of high-level deployment and topology to effectively pitch solutions and secure client attention, frame the opportunity, and create intrigue.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Build and nurture relationships with senior hyperscale data center leaders and clients.
- Serve as the point of contact for hyperscaler requests, ensuring needs are met and issues resolved.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen relationships and elevate company’s profile.
- Cultivate long-term partnerships by aligning solutions with client goals and company's value proposition.
- Lead client outreach and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction after initial engagement.
- Ensure tenants and hyperscaler clients remain satisfied and engaged throughout the relationship lifecycle.
Sales Engineering & Technical Support
- Partner with engineering, finance, legal, and design teams to create compelling proposals—including ROI analyses, deployment timelines, and implementation frameworks.
- Apply technical knowledge and regulatory expertise to deliver viable solutions tailored to client and market needs.
- Help assemble technical diligence packages by collecting information from multiple sources.
- Support clients during critical go-live situations—being present when hyperscalers activate compute operations in new data halls and servers go live.
Administration & Internal Support
- Manage the company’s CRM platform to ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
- Assist in managing go-to-market efforts, including coordination with a third-party marketing firm delivering weekly outbound campaigns.
- Send communications and follow-ups on behalf of the CEO and senior BD leaders.
