Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position in Orono, ME offers an opportunity for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role begins in January 2026 and extends through June 2026, providing approximately 30+ hours per week over five days. This position serves a diverse age range including early childhood, elementary, middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to individual student needs across K-12 settings
  • Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student-centered interventions
  • Monitor progress and adjust therapeutic strategies to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and school regulations
  • Support students functional performance in educational environments to promote independence and participation

Qualifications:

  • Active state license in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings, including early childhood through high school levels
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones and educational environments
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varying age groups and individual needs
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
