Oxford Solutions is working with a medical device client looking to hire a Finance Manager for a contract role (6 to 12 months). You will play a key role in overseeing financial operations and supporting strategic decisions across the organization. Prior experience working in a CRO or medical device environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day finance operations, including supervising AP and AR staff.
Provide leadership while remaining a hands-on contributor to financial tasks.
Oversee client invoicing, expense tracking, and unitized budget reconciliation.
Handle country or regional payroll processes, including tax payments and benefits (Canadian payroll experience is a plus).
Lead the monthly close process and prepare financial reports for leadership.
Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance standards.
Serve as the local point of contact for finance systems (NetSuite and OpenAir).
Manage banking relationships and monitor cash positions.
Lead the annual audit process and implement process improvements.
Mentor finance team members and coordinate professional development goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience working in a CRO or medical device environment strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, general ledger, and invoicing.
Proven leadership experience managing finance staff.
Skilled in financial systems and reporting; NetSuite/OpenAir experience a plus.
Ability to work cross-functionally and support international teams.
