Job Description

The Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. This includes managing patient admissions, performing thorough medical assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting tests, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Admit and evaluate hospitalized patients.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including medication management, diagnostic procedures, and discharge planning.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide bedside care and patient education.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Participate in rounds, case conferences, and other quality improvement initiatives.
