Requirements  LOCUM- Ambulatory Neurology Address: 1821 Wilshire Blvd, Ste 301A, Santa Monica CA 90404. *Update to Requirements/Preferences 3/20*JOB DETAILS:________________________________________________________________________We are looking for one provider to help cover the clinic (9am-4:30pm) for 3-5 days each week starting June 8th. Preferably we would like if they could cover full time but we are flexible to the days they would want to work as long as it is 3 days a week at least. There will be no call involved in this position. Day to day responsibilities will be mainly outpatient services. The MA will room the patient and then the provider will access patient. All charting is expected to be completed by EOD if possible. Providers will do follow up on test/lab results with patients. They should be comfortable working independently as there won't be any other providers there with them. Please ensure the bid reflects the below: - Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per day - OT to apply after 9 hours per day Preference that provider is semi local to the area. REQUIREMENTS: ___________________________________________________________Active CA license and CA DEA Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency Minimum 2-3 yrs of outpatient Neurology experienceMust have competence in the following areas:oGeneral Neurology (headache, dizziness, neuropathy)oMigraine management (cluster headache management, acute and preventive treatments)oEpilepsy (basic management, medication adjustment, safety counseling)oTrigeminal neuralgia (medication management, able to make decisions to escalate management if needed)Procedural skills:oBotoxooccipital nerve block and basic peripheral nerve blocksotrigger point injectionsPREFER: •Prior experience managing an established patient panel•Experience with EMR documentation and management of EMR inbox (EPIC)•Experience in private practice or community outpatient settings•Familiarity with prior auths•Ability to handle inbox messages from patients independentlyProvider will need to go through payor credentialing but will be able to start without this if needed and can bill under a modifier. No privileges will be needed for this position since it is all outpatient. Interviews will take place with the physician there now, we will gather their availability once CV's are submitted to ensure we are interviewing ASAP. Below is our provider's availability to interview, please indicate if your candidate has times that align with this over the next two weeks. Monday-Tuesday 8am-9amMonday-Wednesday 5pm-6pmFriday: available times vary but a morning or afternoon interview can be arranged
