Key Personnel is hiring a Patient Service Representative to join a busy OBGYN practice in the Tulsa, OK area.
Patient Service Representative Pay Rate: $17/hr
Patient Service Representative Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Patient Service Representative Summary:
The Patient Service Representative performs all necessary functions to facilitate a smooth and efficient patient check-in and check-out process with minimal supervision. This role prioritizes exceptional customer service while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with practice policies. The position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and is responsible for welcoming all guests into the office in a professional and friendly manner.
Patient Service Representative Responsibilities:
- Review next-day patient appointments in a timely manner, verifying insurance status, required paperwork, and patient balances due.
- Represent the practice in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner during patient check-in.
- Instruct patients on sign-in and registration procedures.
- Provide appropriate paperwork for new patients or updated accounts.
- Collect, copy, and/or scan patient identification and insurance information accurately.
- Collect copayments, coinsurance, and outstanding balances in accordance with practice protocols.
- Follow established procedures for proper handling and documentation of patient payments.
- Enter and update patient demographic and insurance information in the patient
