$10,000 Sign on Bonus

Requires:

• Unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of Indiana.
• Federal DEA certification. CSR (Controlled substance registration) for the State of Indiana.
• Board certification or board eligibility.
• Unlimited privileges at Ball Memorial Hospital.
• Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.
• Strong community health/public health orientation.

Open Door Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The Physician will work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare team members to manage both acute and chronic medical conditions while upholding the organization's core values and commitment to excellence.

This position is located in Muncie, a mid-sized city in East Central Indiana. Recognized as one of the most affordable college towns in the United States (Realtor.com,) Muncie boasts top-tier arts and culture, entertainment, recreation, and education for all ages.

• Muncie is home to Ball State University, which offers highly respected academic programs and rich arts, culture, entertainment, athletics, and learning opportunities for the community.

Roles and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will have:

• Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and patient-centered care
• Experience working with adults and children
• Understanding of the social determinants of health and their influence on patient outcomes
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of clinical documentation and diagnostic standards (ICD)
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ethical practice standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-based, integrated care environment
• Comfort using electronic health records (EHRs) and digital assessment tools

Qualifications

• Unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of Indiana.
• Federal DEA certification. CSR (Controlled substance registration) for the State of Indiana.
• Board certification or board eligibility.
• Unlimited privileges at Ball Memorial Hospital.
• Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.
• Strong community health/public health orientation.
• Three years of professional medical experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to clinic environment.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range or use of approved adaptive equipment.
• Requires standing, walking or sitting for long periods of time. Occasional bending, stretching or lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Requires the ability to work under stressful situations.
