Job Description
The podiatrist will provide expert care for patients with foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions in a private clinic and hospital setting. Managing a moderate patient volume, the role focuses on diagnosis, treatment, and minor surgical procedures while emphasizing patient education and follow-up care without on-call duties or supervisory responsibilities.
This job requires once a week nursing home rotation with 4 days a week in clinic.
Both Full time and Part time position available.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose foot and ankle conditions
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Perform minor surgical procedures
- Provide wound care and management
- Prescribe and fit orthotic devices
- Educate patients on foot health and prevention
- Conduct regular follow-up to monitor patient outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in podiatry
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree
- State Podiatry License
- Skills in foot and ankle surgery
- Knowledge of biomechanics and wound management
- Strong patient communication and clinical diagnosis abilities
- Experience with orthotic design and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team
- Proficient problem-solving skills
