Job Title: Precertification SpecialistLocation: Albany, GA (Onsite)Compensation: $16–$22/hourBenefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Job Description: Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client for a Precertification Specialist to support a busy healthcare operations team. This role focuses on securing insurance approvals, ensuring documentation accuracy, and maintaining communication with both patients and payers.Qualifications:
- Prior experience handling insurance authorizations or pre-certifications in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity working with insurance carriers and payer systems
- Strong customer service skills, preferably in a medical or patient-facing environment
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and meeting daily productivity expectations
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
- Initiate and manage prior authorization requests with insurance providers
- Collect and review necessary clinical and administrative documentation
- Track pending cases and follow up to ensure timely approvals
- Address and resolve authorization denials or discrepancies
- Communicate updates clearly with patients and insurance representatives via phone
- Maintain accurate records within internal systems and payer portals
