đ» Role
Whatnot is looking for thoughtful, experienced Product Designers who are passionate about solving complex problems, designing scalable systems, and building thoughtful experiences that balance user needs with business priorities. Youâll lead the design of endâtoâend workflows across highâimpact surfaces, whether focused on userâfacing features, internal tools, or core platform systems.
In this role, youâll be instrumental in shaping the future of our product by creating experiences that are clear, efficient, and userâcentric, all while collaborating deeply with designers, product managers, engineers, data scientists, operations, and other crossâfunctional partners. This could include anything from designing onboarding experiences or discovery flows to crafting educational content, user review systems, or realâtime interactions during live events.
Youâll report to a Design leader and will have the option to either work from one of our office hubs (LA, SF, NYC, or Seattle) or remote (U.S. only).
- Design intuitive, endâtoâend product experiences across both userâfacing and internal tools.
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to translate complex problems and workflows into intuitive product experiences.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and final visuals that bring clarity to ambiguous problems.
- Translate research insights and user requirements into compelling design solutions.
- Contribute to the broader design system while advocating for accessibility and inclusive user experiences.
- Use data, research, and feedback to iterate on existing features and identify areas for improvement.
- Help foster a strong design culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and improving team processes.
đ Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design with a strong portfolio of shipped work.
- Strong interaction and systems thinkingâyou can untangle complex flows and design for edge cases.
- Expertise in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Protopie, Framer, etc.).
- Deep understanding of user experience design principles and methodologies, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossâfunctional teams.
- Proven experience designing zeroâtoâone products or new platforms, demonstrating your ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and define new product spaces.
- Experience in eâcommerce, marketplace platforms, or supply chain management is a plus.
