Essential Functions
- Oversee the quality management system’s effective review, documentation, communication, implementation, and drive improvements.
- Drive supplier quality to ensure reliable delivery of quality products through collaboration, audits, and evaluations.
- Manage and maintain the company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and finished goods.
- Ensure tests, procedures, and audits are correctly understood, carried out, and evaluated, and that product modifications are investigated and corrected if necessary.
- Maintain a corrective action system to analyze and correct non-conforming conditions and complaints.
- Plan, lead, train, mentor, organize, and supervise the people’s work under his/her responsibility.
- Utilize Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies to improve plant quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- The position will have direct reports.
- Priority Setting
- Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and systems for QA/QC.
- Analyze input from technical support, installation teams, and customers, as well as shipment defect information for quality trends to help set and drive operations quality improvement priorities.
- Implement performance measurements to effectively evaluate operational quality, performance, process, and product quality trends. Use the results to target improvement efforts.
- Cross Functional
- Effectively interact with Production, Purchasing, and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products.
- Work with purchasing and engineering staff to establish quality criteria and control plans for key suppliers.
- Assess supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired performance levels.
- Coordinating necessary personnel for internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
- Develop processes and control plans to monitor and audit production line quality and finished goods.

- Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment where higher levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.
- Physical Demands
- The employee must frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Travel required
- As required for domestic and international business.
- Required education and experience
- BS in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related degree.
- 5- 7 years of experience leading a quality management role with a low-to-mid-volume discrete product manufacturing environment.
- 1-3 years lean, kaizen, value stream, correction actions,5s, mistake proofing training.
- Understand GD&T and other standard engineering drawing symbology. Understand the use of gauges, CMM, and other tools and techniques.
