$2.00 an hour additional for day shift
$2.00 an hour additional for swing shift
$2.00 an hour additional for grave shift
SUMMARY: To provide property-wide security as well as safety for guests and team members. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Security for organizational assets
- Perform repetitive duties and respond to incidents
- Provide guests information, assistance (including medical aid) and other services
- Detect and correct safety and security problems
- Respond to incidents and make appropriate decisions while under stress / duress
- Prepare written reports as required
- Exercise care when handling property assets to prevent loss or damage
- Detain suspects to prevent escape, personal injury and loss of or damage to property assets
- Testify and provide statements for use in judicial and administrative proceedings
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Preferred:
- 1-year experience and/or training in law enforcement, security, military or related field; or 1 or more years combined frontline experience within a fast-paced, customer service oriented environment
Skills
Required:
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP

REQUIRED TRAINING
- Treasure Island guest service training
- TIPS training and certification
- CPR/First Aid training
- Additional on-the-job training will be provided
- Any position-related training as determined by department manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to sit, walk or stand and exert fast-paced mobility
- Must be able to perform security, first aid, safety and control verification functions including the physical force required to control suspects and protect physical assets
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel and stoop
- Must be able to reach and twist routinely
- Must be able to push, pull xhqgsiq and grasp objects routinely
- Must infrequently be able to climb
- Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25+ pounds occasionally
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must have good eye hand coordination
- Must be able to operate foot pedals
- Must be able to physically see security threats and identify persons/property
- Must be able to physically hear conversation in person and over radio equipment
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed property-wide (inside and outdoors) and may include flashing lights, frequent loud noises, cigarette smoke and extreme weather conditions
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals, and/or persons under the influence of alcohol or other mood altering substances
- Occasionally overtime will be required
