Position Summary: The Senior Accountant at Mercury Broadband will support the accounting department and perform a variety of accounting tasks. These tasks include completing related documentation, recording and reporting functions for all salaries and benefits, preparing reconciliations, as well as assisting with other accounting projects. The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the accounting department
- Perform the recording and reconciliation process for all payroll and benefit activity
- Calculate and record capitalized labor
- Calculate and record payroll and related accruals each month
- Research, analyze and document all payroll and benefit variances by entity, service center, department and position for dollars and headcount. Explain budget to actual variances, as well as month-over-month variances.
- Be a subject matter expert in ADP reporting
- Perform other reconciliations to the ledger for assigned accounts.
- Complete assigned accounting projects.
- Process other transactions and update ledgers.
- Verify accuracy of documentation and balances.
- Prepare of complex journal entries, reports, and analysis.
- Prepare monthly reports.
- Facilitate annual audits, including investigating and resolving audit findings.
- Coach, mentor, and assist with leading junior accountants and accounting team.
Skills & Requirements:
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP, Payroll and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities
- Proficiency in bookkeeping programs and related software
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness
- High level of understanding and practice of confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial analysis

Technology Familiarity:
- Microsoft Excel
- ADP Payroll (preferred)
- Microsoft Business Central (preferred)
- Other accounting software
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required
