SF6 Breaker & Switchgear Specialist (Traveling – Florida)
Location: Statewide Travel – Florida

Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced SF6 Breaker & Switchgear Specialist to join our field operations team supporting utility and substation projects across the state of Florida. This is a hands-on, traveling position ideal for a highly skilled technician who specializes in SF6 gas-insulated breakers and switchgear systems and takes pride in precision, safety, and reliability.

???? What You’ll DoPerform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of SF6 circuit breakers and gas-insulated switchgear
Conduct SF6 gas handling, filling, reclaiming, and leak detection
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in high-voltage equipment
Execute breaker timing tests, insulation resistance testing, and related commissioning procedures
Support substation outages, upgrades, and emergency response projects
Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
Travel throughout Florida to various job sites
Travel required throughout the state of Florida
Typical work schedule: 45–50 hours per week
Must be willing to use personal vehicle for travel

Proven experience working on SF6 breakers and switchgear
Strong understanding of high-voltage substation equipment
Experience with breaker testing equipment and diagnostic tools
Knowledge of SF6 gas handling procedures and environmental compliance
Ability to work extended hours and travel consistently
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Preferred:
NETA certification or equivalent testing experience
Substation commissioning experience
Utility or EPC background
