Position Overview

Cheshire Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Intensive Care Unit team. This role involves caring for critically ill patients across a wide age range while utilizing advanced ICU equipment and clinical skills.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ventilators, IV drips, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive medications in a fast-paced ICU environment.

 

Unit Details

Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Number of Beds: 10

Patient Ratio: 2:1

Patient Population: Adolescent – Geriatric

Trauma Level: Level III

 

Schedule

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours: 12-hour shifts

Weekly Guarantee: 36 hours

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement: As needed

On-Call: TBD

Floating: May float to PCU

Responsibilities

Provide critical care nursing for ICU patients

Monitor and manage ventilators, IV drips, and vasoactive medications

Perform hemodynamic monitoring and arterial line management

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR

Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining safety standards

 

Requirements

2+ years of current ICU experience

EPIC EMR experience required

Arterial line experience required

Proficiency with:

Ventilators

IV Drips

Hemodynamic Monitoring

Vasoactive Medications

Preferred

Charge nurse or preceptor experience

 

Certifications Required

New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License

BLS (AHA)

ACLS (AHA)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Additional Requirements

Traveler must have their own vehicle

Local travelers within 50 miles will not be considered

Maximum 5 days RTO allowed at submission

All compliance items must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
