Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Serving Southeast Floridas educational community, this role is tailored for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) eager to support school districts in Port Saint Lucie and Ft. Pierce. The primary focus is on conducting comprehensive evaluations, especially for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping the district address evaluation backlogs and provide timely services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed speech and language evaluations, with emphasis on Autism evaluations.
- Collaborate with educational teams across assigned schools to develop IEP goals and intervention strategies.
- Support communication services in various school settings, including K-8 and elementary schools with specialized programs.
- Maintain compliance with district protocols and credentialing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active SLP licensure is mandatory.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly those diagnosed with Autism, is highly valued.
- Ability to work onsite at assigned schools in Port Saint Lucie and Ft. Pierce.
- Flexibility to manage caseloads across one or two schools depending on assignment.
- Familiarity with fingerprinting and credentialing requirements related to educational settings.
Locations and Schedule:
- Oak Hammock K-8, Port Saint Lucie, FL; 2 days per week onsite.
- CA Moore K-7 (2 days) and FK Sweet Elementary (3 days), Ft. Pierce, FL; full-time or part-time split options.
- Onsite presence required, supporting both general education and specialized units, including ASD and DHH clusters.
