Travel Stepdown RN - Clarkston, Washington

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a registered nurse (RN) experienced in med-surg and progressive care to work in a versatile 25-bed critical access hospital setting. This contract role requires an active Washington RN license with stepdown/PCU expertise and flexibility to support various departments as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive patient education tailored to individual needs using appropriate teaching methods.
• Ensuring patient safety through preventive measures such as proper use of side rails, restraints (in accordance with policy), and safe equipment operation.
• Demonstrating proficiency with med-surg, telemetry, and PCU equipment, including troubleshooting and accessing manuals as necessary.
• Applying infection control and isolation protocols diligently and utilizing standard precautions at all times.
• Maintaining thorough, accurate documentation related to patient status, interventions, and responses during each shift.
• Accurately documenting charge details and efficiently completing physician orders, including 24-hour order checks when assigned.
• Providing comprehensive change-of-shift reports to incoming staff and effective communication with interdisciplinary team members.
• Promptly reporting critical laboratory values to physicians according to hospital policy.
• Restocking emergency carts and supplies in patient rooms and general areas.
• Performing additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
